This policy explains how Check My Homework handles information when you use the iPhone and iPad app and the checkmyhomework.io website.
Cookies and website analytics
If you choose “Accept cookies”, this website uses optional Google Analytics cookies to measure page visits and clicks on links to our App Store listing. Google receives website interaction and technical information, such as the pages visited, referral website, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers. This website integration does not send homework content, app account details or support messages to Google Analytics.
These cookies and analytics stay off until you accept them. Choosing “Reject cookies” does not affect use of the website or the app download links. We disable Google advertising features in this integration.
We remember your choice in this browser for up to 180 days. If you accept, Google Analytics cookies are also configured to last up to 180 days. Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Rejecting after acceptance stops future measurement and removes this website's Analytics cookies; it does not erase information already sent to Google.

Information we collect
- Account information: email address, authentication records, and account status.
- Homework content: images, PDFs, handwriting, generated practice, submitted work, and feedback results.
- Usage and entitlement information: homework check usage, practice generation usage, plan status, and purchase entitlement data.
- Support information: messages you send us and related diagnostic context you choose to include.
- Technical data: app version, device type, logs needed to keep the service reliable, and security events.
How we use information
- To provide homework checking, generated practice, document storage, and feedback.
- To keep accounts secure and enforce check limits or paid entitlements.
- To respond to support, safety, privacy, or deletion requests.
- To monitor reliability, prevent misuse, and improve app quality.
AI processing
Before a new AI request, the app asks for separate, explicit permission. If you allow it, Check My Homework sends the homework content you choose to Google, our third-party AI provider. This may include selected images, PDFs, handwriting, worksheet text, or a practice prompt, together with relevant subject, level, curriculum, checking, or generation context.
This information is processed only to provide the AI feature you requested, such as checking homework, creating an editable worksheet, generating practice questions, or producing feedback. We do not use homework content for advertising or cross-app tracking.
You can choose Not Now and continue using non-AI features. You can later allow, review, or withdraw permission under Account > AI data processing. Withdrawal prevents future AI submissions from that device. A request already accepted for processing may still finish because its data was transferred before permission was withdrawn.
Children and young users
Check My Homework may be used by children with appropriate supervision. We design AI safety controls and product language with young users in mind. Parents, guardians, schools, or tutors should contact us if they need help with privacy or safety concerns.
Service providers
We use service providers only as needed to operate the app:
- Supabase: authentication, account and app records, private user-file storage, and secure server functions.
- Google: temporary storage and AI processing of the content you choose to share for the feature you request.
- RevenueCat: App Store subscription and entitlement status. Apple processes purchases and manages App Store subscriptions.
Retention
We keep homework files, results, account records, and usage data only as long as needed to provide the app, meet legal obligations, prevent misuse, resolve disputes, and support account deletion or data requests.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data. You can withdraw future AI-processing permission in the app, export local data, and use the in-app account-deletion flow. To make another request, contact privacy@checkmyhomework.io.
